Roman Urdu: Man / Mann / Maund
The traditional Pakistani weight unit used in mandis. 1 maund = 40 kg in most of Pakistan (Punjab, Sindh, KPK). Some regions use a 37.3 kg maund (legacy 'pakka mann') or 40-seer variants. Pakka Khata supports configurable maund definitions per mandi.

Is maund the same as quintal?+
No. Quintal = 100 kg. Maund = 40 kg in Pakistan. 1 quintal = 2.5 maund (Pakistan).
Why do different regions use different maunds?+
Historical. Pre-partition each district had its own standard. After standardisation, 40 kg became dominant but some commodities (sugar, dates) retain local variants.
How do I configure mandi-specific maund in Pakka Khata?+
Settings → Units → Maund Definition → enter the kg value for your mandi. Applied to every lot in that mandi.
